vegan pulled "chicken" 

This very nutritious fruit when it is cooked, resembles shredded chicken so much it is hard to tel the difference. It contains, magnesium, vitamin B1, calcium, vitamin C, potassium, vitamin A, Iron and fiber. Making it a low carb vegan alternative. I hope you can give it a try with loved ones ;).

INGREDIENTS 
INSTRUCTIONS

14 OZ CAN          ORGANIC JACKFRUIT

1/3 CUP                SOFRITO 

​

1/3 CUP               TOMATO SAUCE (SPANISH STYLE)

​

1/2 PKT                COMPLETE SEASONING (NO MSG)

​

1/4 PIECE           VEGETABLE BOUILLON CUBE 

​

1. PREP THE INGREDIENTS . DRAIN AND WASH WELL THE JACKFRUIT .

2. SHREDD THE JACKFRUIT AND LEAVE OUT THE PIECES AT THE END THAT ARE TOUGH AND DONT SHREDD.

3. POUR 1/2 OF THE SEASONING PACKET ON THE JACKFRUIT AND MIX WELL . 

​

4. ON A SKILLET AT MEDIUM LOW HEAT, ADD THE SOFRITO , TOMATO SAUCE, AND THE 1/4 OF THE BOUILLON CUBE. MIX UNTIL IT IS DISSOLVED . ADD A LITTLE WATER IF NECESSARY.

5. ADD THE SHREDDED JACKFRUIT AND MIX WELL UNTIL COMBINED. LET IT SIMMER FOR 3-5 MIN AND ENJOY ;) .
