stewed tofu 

This is a quick and easy meal . The stew is puertorrican style .It's a great comfort food full of vitamins minerals and protein . All the necessary components for a nutritious meal . I hope you can enjoy this with your loved ones ;)

SERVES 4 - 6 
KOSHER STYLE | VEGAN | GLUTEN FREE
INGREDIENTS 
INSTRUCTIONS

1 BLOCK             CUBBED EXTRA FIRM TOFU 

1 CUP                   DICED POTATOES 

1/2 CUP               SOFRITO 

1/2 CUP               TOMATO SAUCE(SPANISH STYLE)

 

1/4 CUP               DICED PIMENTO STUFFED OLIVES 

 

1/2 SQUARE      VEGETABLE BOUILLON 

 

1/2 TSP.                PINK HIMALAYAN SALT 

 

2 PIECES            RECAO LEAVES

 

3/4 CUP             WATER  

1. CUT AND PREPARE THE INGREDIENTS . 

2. IN A MEDIUM HEAT POT . ADD THE TOMATO SAUCE,  SOFRITO,VEGETABLE BOUILLON AND SALT. MIX WELL AND LET SAUTE FOR 4-5 MINUTES UNTIL THE COLOR BECOMES A BIT DARKER AND RICHER. 

3. ADD THE POTATOES AND OLIVES. MIX UNTIL COMBINED. 

4. ADD THE TFU AND WATER. MIX CAREFULLY, NOT TO BREAK THE TOFU. ADD THE RECAO LEAFS AND COVER THE POT. 

5. LET COOK FOR 10 MINUTES, THEN REMOVE THE LID AND MIX. OF THE POTATOES ARE NOT DONE , LET COOK AND ADDITIONAL FIVE MIN. UNCOVERED  SO THAT THE STEW THICKENS. 

6. SERVE OVER RICE AND ENJOY ;)
