cheese wontons

Easy and delicious appetizer. Crunchy, sweet, salty and savory .You can make this popular take-out dish with very few ingredients and the whole family , friends or guests will enjoy. I hope you get to try this simple but yummy version ;) .

INGREDIENTS 
INSTRUCTIONS

1 PKG.         SQUARE WONTON WRAPPERS 

 

2 EGGS      LIGHTLY SCRAMBLED      

 

8 OZ            CREAM CHEESE 

 

3 STALKS    SLICED GREEN ONIONS 

 

OIL FOR FRYING  

1. CUT AND PREPARE THE INGREDIENTS .

2. AFTER OPENING THE WONTON WRAPPERS COVER WITH A MOIST PAPE TOWEL SO THAT THEY DON'T DRY OUT . 

​

3. BRUSH ALL FOUR SIDES OF THE WRAPPER WITH THE EGG. 

​

4. PLACE ABOUT 3/4 OF A TSP. OF THE CHEESE ON THE MIDDLE, THEN FOLD AND PINCH ALL EDGES UNTIL YOU HAVE A TRIANGLE.

5. ON THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE TRIANGLE , CREATE AN INDENTATION ON THE MIDDLE , TO HELP IT FOLD IN HALF . 

​

6. BRUSH A  BIT OF THE EGG EN THE LEFT PART, SO THAT IT CAN STICK TOGETHER WHEN YOU PLACE TH RIGHT SIDE ON TOP.  THAT WAY IT CAN FOM A LITTLE "TAIL". REPEAT UNTIL YOUR CHEESE  MIXTURE IS FINISHED.

 7. IN A SMALL POT FILLED WITH THE OIL (AT LEAST TWO INCHES DEEP), HEAT AT MEIUM -HIGH HEAT.

8. ONCE THE OIL IS READY, PLACE A COUPLE  OF THE WONTONS, NO MORE THAN FOUR AT THE SAME  TIME . 

 

9. AT FIRST , THEY WILL SINK  AND WHEN COOKED THEY WILL START RISING TO THE TOP. KEEP TURNING ON AL SIDES, UNTIL THEY ARE GOLDEN BROWN. 

 

10. ONCE THEY ARE GOLDEN BROWN , REMOVE FROM THE OIL AND PLACE ON A PAPER TOWEL , TO DRAIN ANY EXCESS OIL .

11. SERVE WITH YOU FAVORITE SWEET  AND SOUR SAUCE AND  ENJOY ;) .
